There               are               many               known               sources               that               cause               the               formation               of               lung               cancer.

The               most               common               being               the               inhalation               of               foreign               matter               such               as               asbestos,               smoke               and               paint               or               chemical               fumes.

With               the               many               ways               that               may               induce               the               occurrence               of               lung               cancer,               most               medical               practitioners               will               tell               you               that               it               is               one               of               the               most               elusive               of               all               cancer               forms               and               types.
 
The               symptoms               of               lung               cancer               are               usually               not               present               or               easy               to               identify,               because               of               the               symptoms               that               the               cancer               may               or               may               not               present.

Most               commonly               lung               cancer               in               the               earliest               of               its               stages               and               advancements               is               misdiagnosed               as               other               illness's               such               as               upper               respiratory               infection,               reoccurring               bronchitis               and               even               several               different               types               of               pneumonias               or               allergies.

Difficult               to               diagnose               with               no               apparent               symptoms               in               the               early               stages               of               lung               cancer               makes               it               harder               to               treat               successfully.

Most               symptoms               do               not               make               themselves               present               until               the               cancer               has               metastasized               (spread               or               grown)               into               other               areas               of               the               body               such               as               the               bones,               stomach               or               throat               and               even               possibly               growing               into               the               nerves               around               the               area               the               cancer               originally               invaded.
               Some               symptoms               most               commonly               associated               with               lung               cancer               are               but               not               limited               to:
               Difficulty               breathing               or               swallowing,               wheezing               and               chest               pain               or               coughing               up               blood               and               difficulty               speaking               such               as               hoarseness.

               Lung               cancer               is               also               capable               of               spreading               to               the               brain               causing               headaches,               seizers,               blurred               vision               and               weakness               in               one               or               both               left               and               right               sides               of               the               body.
               Other               symptoms               a               person               should               watch               for               may               include               weight               gain               or               weight               loss               in               excess               of               ten               pounds               with               no               obvious               reason               for               such,               fatigue               or               extreme               tiredness,               depression               or               severe               mood               swings               and               persistent               bronchitis               or               chest               infections
               Depression               and               mood               swings               are               usually               associated               with               lung               cancer               after               it               has               metastasized               to               other               parts               of               the               body               such               as               the               brain.
               Lung               cancer               that               has               spread               to               the               nerves               of               a               person               may               cause               shoulder               or               back               pain               also               known               as               pan               coast's               syndrome,               or               it               may               cause               the               over               secretion               of               hormones               leading               to               a               barrage               of               other               illness's               such               as               Hyperthyroidism.
               However               elusive               and               under               the               radar               lung               cancer               may               be,               any               unusual               symptoms               such               as               shortness               of               breath,               cold               or               flu               like               symptoms               that               will               not               go               away               or               any               other               symptom               that               may               involve               your               chest               or               head               should               be               reported               to               your               doctor               right               away.

As               with               all               other               cancers               successful               treatment               depends               on               the               early               detection               of               an               illness               and               its               symptoms.

You               may               think               you               have,"               Just               a               chest               cold."               but               reality               prevails               it               could               be               much               worse               and               getting               worse               with               the               longer               you               wait               to               see               a               doctor.

Again               early               detection               is               key               when               it               comes               to               cancer               and               the               successful               treatment               thereof.
